SAMA's Announce Guesthouse Episode 9th July
SAMA’s are delighted to be hosting a new virtual music showcase! Showcasing Scottish artists is at the core of Scottish Alternative Music Awards. In collaboration with Sound City on Thursday 9th July 1900 the virtual event will feature performances by Carla J. Easton, Cara Rose and Mt. Doubt.
The performances will be hosted on Guesthouse platform. Users can register for a free 60 day trial, and cancel at anytime. The performances will be intimate and recorded from home, and the audience will also have an opportunities to ask any questions, and buy merchandise.
Get to know the 3 acts:
Cara Rose.
Cara Rose is a 21 year old singer songwriter from Glasgow, Scotland. Exploring what it means to be a young person in these uncertain times, Cara's soulful musings have won over fans young and old as she honed her craft across the city's venues. Distinctly Glaswegian, Cara's direct, passionate and insightful lyrics hold no punches as they traverse topics of young love, humanity and political discourse.
Carla J. Easton
Carla J. Easton makes dreamy, addictive pop music. Her SAY shortlisted Impossible Stuff builds on her work with Futuristic Retro Champions, TeenCanteen, and under the alias ETTE, mixing synths, sparkling brass and Spector-esque strings. She is working on her third album, with help from PRS Foundation’s Women Make Music Fund.
Mt. Doubt
From Edinburgh, Scotland, songwriter Leo R. Bargery has, over the last few years, established Mt. Doubt as the collective through which his songwriting has an outlet. Featuring long-term collaborators and friends, Mt. Doubt deal in the lyrical and emotive whilst keeping an eye to the atmospheric.
