Full line-up announced for SAMAs Christmas Party
Team SAMAs are set to take over citizenM this Christmas
ON Friday 9th December we are heading back to the stylish walls of Glasgow's citizenM hotel to wrap up 2016 and celebrate a great year for Scottish music. We have 3 intimate live performances for you, complimentary drinks from our pals at Red Stripe Lager, and mulled wine being served at the bar.
Lush, lush, lush. Anyway, here's the lineup (it's a bit of a belter!)
Michael Cassidy
The Paisley singer-songwriter picked up the award for Best Acoustic at our main event in October. Describing his music as folk-pop, Michael has supported some recognisable names such as Ben Howard, Frightened Rabbit and Amy MacDonald down the years.
Recently playing a headline show in Edinburgh at Sneaky Pete’s where he experimented with a full band setup, Michael is taking his style in an exciting new direction. Check out his video for ’15 Years’ below.
Bella and The Bear
Acoustic duo Bella and the Bear will join Michael in playing a live acoustic set at our Christmas party in December.
In 2015, the Ayr pair deservedly won our award for Best Newcomer and have since went on to firmly establish themselves on the Scottish music scene. Performing at Electric Fields and being awarded the Danny Kyle Open Stage Award, Bella and the Bear have had a strong 2016 and will celebrate it with us on Friday 9th December at CitizenM.
Check out their video for 'Still Cold' below.
Mark McGowan
Glasgow artist Mark McGowan is the first of three acts that will play at the SAMAs Christmas Party on Friday 9th December at citizenM, Glasgow.
After a successful 2016 featuring on the Janice Forsyth Show and playing at Tenement Trail, Mark will wrap up his year and celebrate with a live performance in the swanky city centre hotel. Watch him perform his track ‘Mascara’ for The Playlist.com and grab early bird tickets for £7 below.
The event will be hosted by Jim Gellatly.
This event is sponsored by Glasgow's Rebel Rebel Barbers.
