SAMAs 5 T in the Park must-sees!
It’s been a while since we last published a blog, but don’t worry we've been busy working on other projects, meeting people and plotting for the best SAMAs yet!
Our summer already began at XPO North, next up for us is T in the Park, hosted at Strathallan Castle from 7-10th July. There's over 100 acts playing the fest, with 30 plus Scottish acts set to showcase their talent across the weekend. We've chosen 5 killer artists who've been on our radar and tell you exactly where and when to see them! HINT: we recommend spending a lot of time at T-Break and BBC Introducing stages to discover some of the best emerging talent in the country. Over the years it’s seen performances that have enhanced the careers of artists such as The Lafontaines, Prides and Twin Atlantic!
And this year is no different.
Get T tickets here.
1. Gerry Cinnamon
The outspoken singer-songwriter was one of the highlights of last year’s T-Break and has gained a stage upgrade this time round. Cinnamon is a vibrant talent and will delight crowds with his engaging personality, trust us, after his stunning performance at one of our intimate showcase events last year, it’ll be one to remember! The Castlemilk musician has been building a reputation over the last few years, playing to sold out crowds around the country, gaining a very loyal fan base along the way. Catch Gerry on the Friday at King Tut’s Wah Wah tent, expect a fine sing-a-long and plenty of good vibes!
2. Redolent
The four-piece electronica/rock act from Edinburgh have been around since 2013. We at the SAMAs have worked with them on live sessions, and they are an eccentric, supremely talented bunch. Their latest work 'Space Cadet' is an experimental electronic dreamy pop sound which will take you on a warm, chilled journey through synth and melody. Their debut album 'Juvenility' is out now. Catch them on T-Break stage on the Saturday.
3. Domiciles
The psychedelic-rock five piece were featured on Dead Beet’s Record Store Day showcase, and this year’s Tenement TV Festival. You can expect to see and hear a lot more from the Fife rockers over the coming months. So, get a head start by going down to catch them, first up on the Saturday at the T-Break stage.
4. Bloodlines
From the Highlands originally, Bloodlines are a four-piece rock act now based in Glasgow. Their sound draws influence from heavier acts such as The Fall Of Troy and Foals. After impressing crowds at XPO North, and sold out shows around Scotland you can expect a LOT of energy, crowd interaction, and shred! See them thrash it out on Friday as they close the T Break stage.
5. Lucia Fontaine
Lucia's rich velvet vocals, Spector sound and anthems of young Glasgow will lock you in on her up-coming EP ‘Best Boy’, released on tape and vinyl on the 13th of July through Deadbeet Records. Fontaine has a lot of potential, rave reviews and will be set to hit T on a high!
