Bottle Rockets

Known for their luscious combo of dreamy vocals, shimmering guitars and punchy melodies, the four-piece draw influence from a wide array of sources – such as grungy alt-rock, eighties new wave, shoegaze, modern rock and more. And already showing heaps of potential, it’s clear that they’re a band willing to push the parameters of their sound with every release. Bottle Rockets have gone on to captivate audiences with their electrifying stage presence supporting acts such as: Softcult, The Goa Express and Humour. Ending last year on a high, not only playing the legendary Barrowland Ballroom as part of the Tenement Trail festival but also winning 'Best Rock/Alternative' at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards.

Developing their sound through years of intensive writing and performing in spaces aligned with Glasgow's queer/punk scene, comfort are a sibling duo consisting of Sean on drums and Natalie as magnetic front-woman, backed by wildly oscillating software synths to create music that is direct and engaging. The confrontational vulnerability inherent in their music reaches for a personal, yet queer liberation within a constrictive society. comfort create music demanding freedom not tolerance - they have reinterpreted the ethos of punk music for the 21st century sending a clear message that they hold no interest in finding a middle ground with bigotry.
