Apply to play SAMA Showcase at Liverpool Sound City 2022

Sound City is the UK's leading festival and conference for new music. Established in 2007, Sound City has grown over the past 15 years into one of the most culturally important annual events on the music calendar. The festival has earned an outstanding reputation for giving emerging artists their first taste of a festival stage, with alumni including Ed Sheeran, Grimes, Stormzy, Lizzo, Yungblud and countless more.

Sound City+ will take place on 29 April, with Sound City on 30th April - 1st May 2022 in the heart of Liverpool.

In partnership with Creative Scotland, SAMA are delighted to be hosting a Scottish Showcase on Friday 29 April, with 3 artists.

Artists have the opportunity to Apply To Play at the 15th Anniversary edition of the festival, alongside the very best breakthrough acts and major names both from the UK and internationally. SAMA welcome artists applications from all genres. The showcase is aimed at artists based in Scotland who have started to build a following, are attracting media and/or industry interest and are ready to take the next step in the UK music industry.

Artists will receive the following:

Artist fee (performance & travel): £300.00
20 minute Showcase slot at SAMA Scottish Showcase.
Basic backline provided.
Rider of soft drinks & snacks.
Full passes to Sound City+ Conference plus festival access.
Promotions via @officialsama & @SoundCityUK networks
Official event photography.
Invitation to online pre event to ensure with SAMA, Creative Scotland & Sound City with tips to get the most out of Sound City.
