SAMAs announce 2017 Nominations

The time has come to share the 2017 nominations for Scottish Alternative Music Awards.

After months of work behind the scenes working with the twenty one judges across the seven awards, we are delighted to share with you the shortlist.

SAMA Founder / Creative Director Richy Muirhead comments on the shortlist:

"The twenty eight shortlisted acts represent the diversity and high quality of music in Scotland. I feel there is something on the list for everyone from grime to house music, rock and more. The SAMAs are designed to allow the audience to discover new music, and this list can do exactly that. Members of the music industry created the shortlist, now the public can have their say in a short vote – the team and I are looking forward to seeing it all come together on the 12th!”
