In alphabetical order:

Graham Costello’s Strata - Cygnus

As grandiose as ever, Graham Costello’s Strata are back with the stunning Cygnus. Reaching an epic ten minute runtime this new single is truly an experience of a musical master class. Groovy at points, the tumbling piano and tightly wound rhythm section throughout is something to behold.

Joell, Chlobocop - Holla

Earning a spot on the Wide Days 2020 showcase in Edinburgh alongside Billy Got Waves, Joell has been taking his LA trap beats around the country. Collaborating with Chlobocop on Holla, the pair have managed to produce a sleek song filled with glistening melodies and tight drum tracks.

kitti - kandy kissin’

Following a sold out show in the Blue Arrow, Glasgow’s rising singer/songwriter Kitti has been winning people over with her jazz-infused pop. Filled with stunning melodies that meld together in a cosy pot of self love and nostalgia. Taking to Glasgow and Edinburgh for headline dates in May, Kitti’s name won't be leaving her audience anytime soon.

Konx-Om-Pax - Return To Cascada

Glasgow-born, Berlin-based electronic musician Konx-Om-Pax has flourished on this new release. Bringing to mind the sound of early 90’s raves with an approach that takes inspiration from Aphex Twin, Return to Cascada is an engulfing series of glitches and rapid drum machines.

The Massacre Cave - We Own The Sun

Leading the charge from their debut record Godlust, The Massacre Cave’s We Own The Sun is a punishing kick of brutality. The dual guitar leads merge into blast beats and dischords with ease. With hints of Gojira, the quartet tear through this track in a electrifying passion.

MosKow Mule - Planeta Opic

Coming hot off the heels of a packed release show at the Amsterdam Bar, Glasgow’s own hell raisers Moskow Mule deliver the eerie yet playful Planeta Opic. With the help of Josh McBride of Fiends YT on the drums, the track holds the suspense throughout until the final blast of chaos in its climax.

Nova - Trophy

Having appeared on tracks with fellow rapper Theta, Nova’s first solo EP does not mess around. Nominee in the best Hip-Hop category of the Scottish Alternative Music Awards 2019, Nova performs a slew of perfectly crafted rhymes over some slick beats, fitting perfectly around the changes all the way through the track.

Pictish Trail - Fear Anchor

Buried under a lush wave of electronics and appregio’s, Pictish Trail grace us with Fear Anchor from his latest LP “Thumb World”. Under these synthesised beats and keys, is an earnest song that would suit just as well on an acoustic guitar as it does laced with these glorious layers.

Shopping - All Or Nothing

A form of kinetic, minimalist dance-punk the title track of Shopping’s new LP is a new beginning for the group. The reverb-laden lead lines mixed with the punchy vocal melody almost shows up the post-punk bands it has followed. Culminating in a driving force of the trio, All or Nothing us a testament to the groups talents.

Spyres - Fake ID

With a whirlwind 2019 for the East Kilbride/Glasgow quartet, Spyres have been laying waste to venues around Glasgow. Fake ID continues their brand of hook-laden indie rock, with such a ferocity reminiscent of Courtney Barnett. Having supported Lauren Hibbered on her UK tour in February, the four piece will be primed and ready to embark on the Tenement TV tour in April.
