A. Wesley Chung - Restless
An artist assuming many guises, A. Wesley Chung, a year on from releasing Asleep in the Kaatskills under The Great Albatross has returned as himself equipped with new single Restless and the murmurings of an accompanying album Neon Coast on the near horizon. A serene soundscape interjected by glistening brass, fit for brighter days to remain an unwavering ode to feeling home, a cathartic cure for any displaced mind.
Beta Waves- Let It Out
Having leapt into consciousness seemingly out of nowhere this electro psychedelic Dundonian duo are already swiftly leaving their mark, having just released their second single 'Let It Out' amid a host of live slots coming up, 2018 is very much theirs for the taking!
Bleed From Within - Crown Of Misery
Hamilton five-piece metal outfit Bleed From Within are officially back! Their new album ‘ERA’ was released on Century Media earlier this month and marks their first release in five years, recorded in Middle Farm Studios and is also the first official release with guitarist Steven Jones. The album is a monster from start to finish, we picked out ‘Crown Of Misery’. Enjoy, and turn this one up to ten! Scottish The band play Saint Luke’s, Glasgow this Friday 27th April.
brownbear - Truth Without Consequence
Pop, Rock, Feel good indie? Yes this is a bit of everything above! The long awaited debut album “What Is Home?” by Ayrshire musician Matthew Hickman or otherwise known as brownbear is out now on new Scottish indie label Assai Recordings. Matthew and his newly recruited band are set to tour throughout in May stopping off at Glasgow, Dundee, Thurso, Kilmarnock, Elgin and Edinburgh.
Crystal - Heaven
With a chorus so catchy it’ll be permanently embedded in your mind after just one listen, this is an undeniable anthem from beginning to end. lured in by Anna Shields vocal simultaneously tame yet domineering the track cascades per second into a rousing grunge fuelled affair torn apart by blistering guitar to leave you gasping for breath.
Cloth - Demo Love
Producing an ethereal ballad which also offers a kick of stimulation is exactly what Glasgow trio Cloth have accomplished. Instrumentation kept understated to shine light on a truly captivating vocal.
Home$lice - Howdy
The product of two EPs and years of practice comes Howdy, the debut album from this Glasgow five-piece. Displaying a thoroughly eclectic side to these lo-fi specialists while still maintaining their trademark chaotic, nostalgia fuelled shimmering post-punk stylings to form their best work yet!
Quiche - ‘Rat Habits’
Drawing on inspiration from Tame Impala, Nirvana, and Mac Demarco Glasgow act QUICHE introduce their latest psychedelic pop, rock sound. Having sold out recently at their EP launch at The Old Hairdressers and been featured in Spotify’s New Music Friday we are looking forward to hearing more from QUICHE across the summer! Spring Break - Rodeo Railroad
As their first release since 2015, Spring Break have returned to kick start these bright spring days with a mighty new album both harmonious and sharp witted fusing an eclectic mix of calypso heat with the tradition of their Inverness roots for catchy hit after hit, not to be missed!
Zoe Bestel - Eye For An Eye
Pure celestial bliss can be found encapsulated within this twelve track release. While Zoe’s vocal may seem gentle her words are mighty, woven amongst instrumentation diverse yet never overbearing to form a collection so naively at ease it leaves you spellbound. Zoe's debut album 'Transience' released now on Last Night From Glasgow.
